The subscribers of Chennai Telephones can now know the telephone number of the calling
party. Chennai Telephones has made available yet another customer-friendly
feature for all subscribers This facility is commonly known as Calling Line
Identification Presentation (CLIP). The facility enables the subscriber to know the
telephone number of the calling party. For this, customers have to subscribe for
this facility and have to either use their own FEATURE PHONE (a telephone with in-built
facility) or a separate ADD-ON device with the existing telephone instrument.
