1. The Dial- up users of both BSNL and non-BSNL including Netone account holders are
eligible for the migration to the Broadband service of Home Plan 250. The scheme is
applicable to BSNL landline users only.The dial-up internet connection may be from BSNL
(Sancharnet or Netone connection) or any other Internet Service Provider.
2. The waival of Plan charges of Rs 250/- per month is valid upto 31-03-2006 only
and will be allowed to the customers who migrate from their existing dial-up
internet connection to BSNL's Dataone Broadband service under Home Plan 250 Free download is restricted to 400 MB only and addititional data transfer during the offer period will be
charged @ Rs.1.40 per MB.All other commercial conditions as
applicable to Home Plan 250 will apply to these customers also.
3. The Dial-up users will bring his latest bill/number of recharge coupon along with
the user name while applying for migration to Broadband services. In respect of other
internet users from any other operators( non-BSNL ), the receipt as a proof of use may be
produced which is current and valid.
4. The existing application form for Broadband services can be used for migration also.
(Customers should clearly mention at the top of the
application form that it is for Free Upgrade / Free Trial of Dataone Broadband)
5. The connection can be booked and installed at customer premises after getting the
required security deposit ( as applicable for modem on rental ) / complete money for the
outright purchase of modem etc.,
6. For the first two months, the customer will be issued monthly bill minus monthly
rental as per Home Plan 250 plus usage charges @ Rs.1.40 per MB for the usage beyond
400 MB which is the stipulated free download limit under Home Plan 250
.Thereafter,from the 3rd month onwards,the monthly bill will include the monthly rent of
Rs 250 plus the usage charges .
7. Installation charge is waived.
8. Normally, Type I modem will be provided to customers opting modem on rent. If
customer insists, Type-II, III and IV modems may also be provided (subject to
availability) on a provisional rent of Rs 100/- .
